DAY WORLD OF THE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN SEVILLE

Since 1992, every December 3rd is celebrated worldwide international day of persons with disabilities.

This year it focuses on promoting the 17 objectives of sustainable development (ODS) necessary to achieve the future we want, and to highlight the role played by these newly established objectives in the construction of a world more inclusive and equal for people with disabilities.

On December 3rd is a date adopted by the associative movement of persons with disabilities and their families around the world to claim rights, quality of life and conditions of social development consistent with the dignity of persons with disabilities. Our city is also attached to the initiative and to the ride of the Kings of 2017 prepares a float especially for children with disabilities. It Foundation Caser and the Ateneo of Seville have signed an agreement of collaboration, by which the Foundation will sponsor the construction of a hearse accessible for people with disability, for its use for 20 children, being unless it half of them disabled, as well as will facilitate the elaboration of their costumes.

"We are very pleased with this initiative of the Caser Foundation, working by a cavalcade of integration, where the maximum value are the children," said the President of the Ateneo, Max Alberto Pérez Calero.

Such initiatives are in favour of equal opportunities for girls and boys with serious mobility problems that, with minor adjustments, can access leisure initiatives that in other cases they are vetoed.
