The Municipal Symphony Band of Seville will hold an extraordinary concert on the eve of the processional departure of the virgin of the kings. The Band will also perform on August 15 the musical accompaniment of the procession of the Virgin of the Kings, with a repertoire of processional marches and with the participation of bugles and drums of the Council of Bands of Seville.
Traditional concert: Spain 1930-1940
This concert, held annually, will feature for the first time this year the interpretation of the work of the Aranjuez Concert and the Costa Rican guitarist Manuel Montero.
The concert program is titled 'Spain 1930-1940' and is divided into the following three parts:
- PART 1: Concert by Aranjuez by J. Rodrigo.
- PART 2: Gypsy dances op. 55 of J Turina and the Pilgrimage of Zamarrilla de Lehmberg.
Place and timetable
The concert, free of charge, will take place on August 14, 2019 at 9:00 p.m. in the Plaza Virgen de los Reyes, which is next to the Cathedral of Seville.
