José Luis Gil stars in the play by Edmond Rostand “Cyrano de Bergerac” that will take place from February 22 to 25, 2018 at the Lope de Vega Theater in Seville.
The play premiered on December 28, 1897 in Paris tells a part of the life of Savinien of Cyrano de Bergerac who was a French poet, dramatist and thinker. The premiere was an unprecedented success that continues to this day.
POET AND DUELLIST
Written by the poet Edmond Rostand it represents the life of Cyrano de Bergerac a soldier known for his huge nose but also for his beautiful poetry and his predilection for duels and fights.
The play tells the story of Cyrano who was in love with his cousin Roxane and at the same time she was in love with the cadet Christian de Neuvilette. Cyrano does not have a very graceful physique due to his big nose but he is a great poet however Christian is the polar opposite, handsome and attractive but unintelligent. This loving trio will make us enjoy a wonderful story with a great staging.
The cast is formed by José Luis Gil, Ana Ruiz, Álex Gadea, Nacho Rubio, Carlos Heredia, Rocío Calvo and Ricardo Joven.
Performances will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The price of the tickets varies according to the area between 4 and 21 euros.
