Anna Bolena by Donizetti’s release in Sevilla. Maestranza Theatre in Sevilla is pleased to present this opera by the composer Donizetti which is part of the trilogy that he dedicated to the Tudor dynasty and made him a musical talent of the time.
The opera was first released in 1830 and it is a lyrical tragedy that deals with the decay of Henry VIII’s second wife and the third’s rise to the throne (Jane Seymour). The representation will count on some great voices such as Ketevan Kemoklidze (mezzosoprano) and Angela Meade (soprano).
