The “Puerta del Perdon” in the Cathedral of Seville, looks splendid as before
Restoring its start in 2012 the entire side of the cathedral that overlooks the street facade Germans, finished, leaving behind a spectacular image that resembles what was in his day, discovering during the three original almohades battlements coupled to said door and the existence of a socket on the patio.
They have managed to preserve the architectural elements Almohads, Gothic, Neo-Gothic, protobarrocos, platerescos and Baroque
He has worked in mud walls and brick, statues and reliefs in terracotta and cement, plus tiles, marble and baroque plasterwork imitating marble, bronze or even the ‘cheers’, which were found despite being partially removed after the work sixties.
This restoration has preserved stucco decorations of the four altars and small facade of the old “Quarto del Cura” del Sagrario, rehabilitating the entrance of the First Church of the Tabernacle, which currently has bulletproof glass and has recovered roof, with the placement of new angels.
La restauración que dió comienzo en 2012 de toda la fachada lateral de la Catedral que da a la calle Alemanes, ha finalizado, dejando tras su paso una imagen espectácular que recuerda a lo que fué en su día, descubriendo durante el proceso tres almenas almohades originales junto a la citada puerta y la existencia de un zócalo en el patio.
Se han conseguido conservar los elementos arquitectónicos almohades, góticos, neogóticos, protobarrocos, platerescos y barrocos
Se ha trabajado en muros de tapial y ladrillo, estatuas y relieves de terracota y cemento, además de azulejos, mármol y enlucidos barrocos imitando mármoles, bronce o incluso en los ‘vítores’, que se encontraron a pesar de estar parcialmente eliminados tras las obras de los años sesenta.
En esta restauración se han conservado las decoraciones de estuco de los cuatro altares y la pequeña fachada del antiguo “Quarto del Cura” del Sagrario, rehabilitando la entrada de la primera iglesia del Sagrario, la cual cuenta actualmente con cristales blindados y se ha recuperado el tejadillo, con la colocación de nuevos ángeles.
