Zurbarán’s surprise at the Museum
The museum is located in the upper part of the monastery, on entering is an anonymous sixteenth-century painting entitled Plague in Seville. Which is visited, several artists come to study it from the Prado Museum in Madrid.
Then a corridor opens and that is where are the ten archangels of Zurbarán.
The museum has six galleries that expose works of art such as a Child Jesus of Ruiz Gijón, a Virgin of Francisco Meneses a Saint Michael of Juan Espinal, one Divine Shepherd by Cristóbal Ramos, other valuable paintings as Virgin of Shelter and a collection of chalices.
The museum is registered as such in the Andalusian Government and now has public visits to make the visit, it is necessary to do it by appointment.
