Sevilla becomes the second national destination for the Immaculate bank holiday
Faced with a new influx of tourists. Sevilla is positioned as the second largest city in Spain in number of bookings for the next bridge of the Immaculate. The many attractions that the city possesses at this time of year have caught the attention of tourists to the point that the booking website Lowcostholidays puts the Andalusian capital reserves as second only to Madridpara the upcoming holidays. The delegate of Tourism, Gregorio Serrano said that the good figures portend for the Immaculate are a preview of what is expected for next Christmas: “We expect a spectacular bridge, which will include lighting and power”.
The two main monuments continue to record very positive numbers in regard to visits. The Real Alcázar, during the month of October hosted the filming of Game of Thrones, experienced an increase in the number of visits of 6.36%. It was visited by 134,270 people. For its part, the Cathedral visits totaled 172,198, 16.52% more than in October 2013. In both cases, in the first ten months of 2014, increases were 11.13% in the first temple town and 8.36% in the palace complex.
